Center Barrel & Rounded Nose Joint Pins & Self Aligning Inserts
Atlas self aligning 5/16-14 joint pins have a centering barrel, with a glue groove. When the centering barrel is used in conjunction with a bored (not drilled) hole, it will ensure that the pin is centered. The pins are also electro-polished for a bright finish. Centering barrel is .3125" +/- .001 Atlas self aligning inserts are precision machined for thread concentricity and uniformity. The Self-Aligning inserts have a .4475" +/- .001 barrel diameter (with glue grooves) for installation into a bored hole, and a 7/16-20 OD thread for installation. The pins and inserts were designed to fit with each other (QSSPIN 14S & QINSNS 14) to make available a very reasonably priced self-aligning pin and insert combination.
