Chakte Kok - Sickingia salvadorensis
Chakte Kok (also called the Red Heart or Manglitto) has a fiery red colouring that darks to pink and to honey-yellow after a while. The wood is finely porous, straight grained with occasional wavy to irregular grain. Through his hard nature, its great to grind and polish. Chakte Kok is to be found in the forests of Mexico, especially around Yucatan.
