Super Tusk
Elforyn Super Tusk – Premium Ivory Substitute with Maximum Authenticity
Elforyn® Super Tusk is the most visually and technically refined variant within the Elforyn product line. Developed for applications where the most authentic possible ivory appearance is required, this material is characterized by a strikingly natural grain and clearly visible Schreger lines on the end face. These structures, which also occur in genuine ivory, significantly enhance the authentic character of the material.
When viewed along its length, the surface appears organic, with a deliberate grain pattern and subtle growth-ring-like structures. Even in smaller workpieces, these features remain clearly visible, which is a major advantage in fine and detailed craftsmanship.

Processing Details – Using the Structure Deliberately
Elforyn Super Tusk is engineered so that its characteristic structures can be used intentionally in design and processing:
- The grain runs by default along the longest side of the block or rod, making it ideal for surfaces that are visible along the length of the workpiece, such as knife handle scales.
- The Schreger lines are located on the end face and can be deliberately showcased as a visual highlight, for example as a handle end, decorative element, or contrasting surface.
Especially in knife making, pen blanks, woodturning, or restoration inlays, this structure offers a high degree of creative freedom. Thanks to the standardized orientation of the blocks, the final visual effect can be planned reliably in advance.
